Value-Added Taxation in the European Union

This new course has been designed to assist our clients in understanding the basic mechanics of European Union value-added taxes (EU VAT). Topics include how EU VAT works, when to register for EU VAT, and the recovery of EU VAT by North American organizations. Throughout the presentation, a discussion of the major rule differences among various EU member states, as well as between EU VAT and Canadian GST will be highlighted. In addition, several provisions that non-resident organizations may find beneficial will be reviewed, with an emphasis on the reverse charge mechanism and the possible deferment of import VAT. This seminar will be presented by representatives from Ryan’s offices in the Netherlands and United Kingdom.

This session is available to our out-of-town clients by webinar or in person at the Ryan Training Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
